The Hardiman Research Building is home to the Moore Institute and Whitaker Institute.
A dedicated post graduate Social Sciences Research building annexed to the existing James Hardiman Library Building at NUI Galway.

The four storey facility creates a new main entrance atrium link to the existing and new facility.

The building was the 2014 Irish Building & Design Award winner for Architectural Project
of the Year.

Lynco provided a bespoke twin skin façade along the front of the library that incorporated flush toggled glazing externally, with integral electronically controlled blinds & an inner skin comprising of oversized access doors. Other areas include a large entrance atrium, & screens incorporating feature elliptical Brise Soleil.
